Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 3900 S. Broadway, for a report of a possible intoxicated subject drinking in a vehicle in the parking lot of the store. When officers arrived, they located the vehicle and made contact with the registered owner, David Bad Brave. Bad Brave had multiple outstanding warrants from Burleigh County, and the Mandan Police Department. Bad Brave resisted arrest and fought with officers while they attempted to take him into custody. Bad Brave was eventually transported to Ward County Jail. While he was being booked into custody for the warrants, Bad Brave assaulted the arresting officer leaving the officer with minor injuries. Bad Brave was booked into custody for his warrants, Preventing Arrest, and Simple Assault on a Peace Officer.
