On November 29, 2017 around 10:43 AM, officers responded to an address in northwest Minot to investigate a report from Child Protective Services that a toddler had been left home alone. The joint investigation led to locating a 3 year old child in the home alone. The child’s mother, 23 year old Octavia Pilot, was later located at her place of work and arrested for Child Neglect. Two minor children, ages 3 and 7, were placed in the care of Child Protective Services. Pilot was taken to Ward County Jail.
