OUTLINE OF PROJECT. Project consist in a 1000 SF fit up space in the NW corner of the Renaissance ramp, downtown Minot. Project includes a waiting room, a couple of restroom, office space and a driver lounge.

The Building construction will be metal studs, insulation, paint, base, ACT ceiling and mechanical and electrical systems.

TYPE OF BIDS. Single combined bids will be received for all portions of the work. The successful bidder will be the single Prime Contractor for the Project.

Bids received after the designated time will not be accepted. All interested parties are invited to attend. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. It is the bidders responsibility to see that mailed or delivered bids are in the hands of the Owner prior to the time of the bid opening.

OBTAINING DOCUMENTS. Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Architect/Engineer's office, and the Owner's office at the address shown above and:

Bidding documents may be obtained by prime bidders and major sub-bidders (Mechanical and Electrical) from EAPC upon request. A deposit of $75.00 is required for one set. If the bidder returns the set of documents, in good condition, within 10 days following the bid date, all of the deposit will be refunded. If the bidder does not return the set of documents within the designated time, none of the deposit will be refunded.

A digital set of bidding documents may be obtained from EAPC upon request.

Partial or complete sets of prints and specifications may be obtained from EAPC by other than the above. The sets or partial sets will be distributed upon receipt of payment for the information charged at the current reproduction rate. None of this payment will be refunded. Completeness and adequacy of the list of documents requested shall be the responsibility of the person making the request.

FEDERAL REGULATIONS. This contract is Federally assisted. The Contractor must comply with the FTA clause, DBE, Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standards. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate the Contractor and Subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. Bidders must submit a compliance report in conformity with the President's Executive Order No. 11246. Review the Special Provisions of the Contract carefully for eligibility to bid.

BID SECURITY. Each bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidders Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid, including all add alternates, executed by the bidder as principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principal's bid be accepted and the contract awarded to them, they, within ten days after notice of award, will execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of their bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing Board. Cash, cashier's checks or certified checks will not be accepted. See Instructions to Bidders 00 1000, Art. 7.

NORTH DAKOTA LAW. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as provided by North Dakota Century Code Section 43-07-07; and no bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses, and any bid deficient in these respects submitted will be re-sealed and returned to the bidder immediately.

PREBID MEETING. There will be a meeting of prospective bidders at the main entrance of the Renaissance ramp on 3rd St. on Wednesday February 21st at 11 AM. All those with questions for the Owner and A/E are invited to attend.

The City of Minot will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:

  • accommodation for people with disabilities
  • language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency (LEP)
  • translations of written material necessary to access this project and information

Appropriate provisions will be considered when the City of Minot is notified at least 15 days prior to the Pre- Bid Meeting and at least 15 days prior to the date the application is due.
