Sealed Lump Sum Bids will be received by City of Minot for the Minot Public Library Children’s Library Remodel until 2:00 PM local time February 3, 2023. Bids shall be prepared in compliance with the Instruction to Bidders and shall be bid as Single Prime Contract for all portions of work (General, Mechanical and Electrical construction).

Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
Project consists of Interior remodeling of approximately 3,000 square feet. Major work components are: light demolition, partition construction, aluminum storefront, specialty interior finishes such as flooring and ceilings, specialized custom cabinetry and furniture. Limited mechanical and electrical retrofit.
The construction documents will be on file and may be examined at the Office of Ackerman-Estvold, Minot, North Dakota and the following Builders Exchanges: Bismarck-Mandan, Bismarck Builders exchange, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, Williston, North Dakota; Minnesota Builders Exchange; Construction Industry Center, and Sioux Falls Builders Exchange, South Dakota.

Successful bidder shall begin the work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the work within the contract time. Work shall be substantially completed no later than June 1, 2023.
Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope, (attached to the Bid Envelope) containing a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid naming City of Minot as Obligee. The Contractor shall also enclose within the Bid Bond Envelope a copy of the Bidder’s North Dakota Contractor’s License or a copy of their latest Renewal Certificate issued by the Secretary of State as per North Dakota Century Code 43-07-12. All Contractors who submit Bids must hold a North Dakota Contractors License in the highest amount of their Bids and such license must have been in effect at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the Bid Opening. Any Bid not containing these documents shall not be acceptable and shall be returned to the Bidder unopened. See AIA Document A701-1997 “Instructions to Bidders” in the Project Manual for further information. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids.
Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
